Nick’s comments about the role of engineers, especially in education really resonated with me. The thing that seems to separate school districts that do well with 1:1 deployments, especially using iOS, is having an engineering mindset. Deployment tools are mature and becoming easier to use. However you do need to be able to find solutions for that 10% which is unique to your environment. That takes creativity. That takes engineers. The payoff is being able to successfully automate services.
